Since taking over Kigali landfill management in 2020, we have significantly improved operations, reducing pollution and ensuring safety for the surrounding communities. Our efforts have successfully addressed long standing complaints about flies, leachate, and unpleasant odors, which were frequently reported by neighboring residents.

Today, the Kigali landfill serves as a model for best practices in landfill management, with delegations from various African countries visiting to learn and implement similar solutions in their own regions.  The results put an end to repetitive media reports of the different complaints related to flies, leachate and bad smells reported by the neighbors of the landfill.
