Together with Rwanda Environment Management Authority (REMA) we aim at enhancing environmental safety in educational institutions across Rwanda. This initiative focuses on the systematic collection and proper disposal of expired chemicals from schools, ensuring a safer learning environment for students and staff.

Many schools possess outdated or expired chemicals in their laboratories, which can pose significant health and environmental risks if not handled correctly. Recognizing this concern, Depot Kalisimbi Ltd and REMA have joined forces to:

  • Identify and Inventory: Collaborate with schools to assess and document expired or unused chemicals present in their facilities.
  • Safe Collection: Deploy trained professionals to safely collect these chemicals, adhering to strict safety protocols to prevent any potential hazards during the process.
  • Proper Disposal: Ensure that all collected chemicals are disposed of in an environmentally responsible manner, in compliance with national and international regulations.

We are dedicated to promoting sustainable and safe waste management practices. Through this collaboration with REMA, we aim to grow a culture of environmental responsibility within educational institutions and contribute to the broader goal of a safer and cleaner Rwanda.
